Indonesia seeks help in agri-processing

The Indonesian province of Aceh is in dire need of processing expertise to prop up it's Agree-Produce Industry'"" Muhammad Nazar, Vice Governor, Aceh province said.
 
Speaking at the interactive session at the Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), the vice-governor sought investments from the entrepreneurs from Dakshina Kannada in Aceh province in a mutually-beneficial rehabilitation atmosphere post-tsunami in the coffee, palm oil, shrimp farming and the natural gases sectors.
 
Graham Harris, Programme Manager, International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private banking arm of the World Bank, informed that the financial institution had organised large amounts of funds for the economic rehabilitation of the Aceh province through multi-donor channels.
 
Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers (MCF), a UB group enterprise, offered to set up a fertiliser manufacturing unit at Aceh.
