Kumar said the board had approved the proposal to accept online applications only so as to expedite works; save time and ensure more transparency in granting approvals to the industries. He said that on-line application system would relieve industrialists of the inconvenience of visiting board office again and again to get approval for establishing and operating industries. The applicants would also get to know the status of the application on-line. Many important decisions were taken at the green panel meeting. Kumar said the board had decided to establish more number of Continuous Air Monitoring Stations and equip them with LED screens for better resolution so that even common people might access the information about level of environment pollution. The meeting also discussed the activities of eco-clubs constituted in schools under National Green Programme. It was decided that every Regional Officer of the board will ensure constituting at least 250 eco-clubs in their respective areas. Various programmes will be organized for the clubs to create environment awareness among the members.
The board had decided to take necessary step for the approval of Service Recruitment Regulations 2014 from the department of environment and to conduct internal audit of various documents of the board before due date and to get Statutory Auditor appointed by CAG.
