The wholesale price-based Inflation further rose to 4.74% for the week ended May 20 from 4.32% in the previous week mainly due to increase in the prices of food, non-food, minerals and some manufactured items.The wholesale price index (WPI) was up by 0.3% to 201.1 points and it was 192 points in the year-ago period.The government revised upward the final Inflation to 4.06% for the week ended March 25 from provisional 3.96%, while the WPI stood corrected at 197.2 points as against the earlier estimate of 197 points.
