The institutes of Gujarat have come to terms with the growing need to promote entrepreneurship in the engineering colleges of the state as it seemed in the workshop 'Promoting Technology Entrepreneurship in Colleges'. |
The experts present at the worshop opined that Gujarat has more entrepreneurial mindset in both trading as well as technology. |

The workshop was held at the Nirma University on Thursday. |

The experts including P Panneervel "" principal secretary of higher and technical education, B H Jajoo from IIM-A, N V Vasani "" vice chancellor of Nirma University, Madhu Mehta "" chief architect of Nirma Labs and Vishnu Varshney, managing director of GVFL along with other participants from 24 colleges across the state decided to encourage the students for technology entrepreneurship. |

Vasani said, "We will create a small cell in all colleges and institute which will give guidance to the students for entrepreneurship and will also fund them for pilot projects or to make prototype of it." |

During the interactive session, Varshney suggested that the cell should not only support or promote but should also encourage students to become entrepreneur. |

"Many students just run after handsome salary and do not think for business," he said. |

According to Mehta, in their first step, they created awareness among the institutes for the promoting technology entrepreneurship. |
|
"We have decided to create cell for individuals and promoters in the engineering and pharmacy colleges for such projects in which Nirma Labs will help the colleges in creating such cells across the state," he said. |
