Industry body PHD Chamber today said that it was completely disappointed with the Interim Budget 2009-10, announced by Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee today in the Parliament today as it has done nothing for the industry to provide impetus to the dwindling sector as was being hoped.
"We were waiting for something... To come out of this Interim Budget like some stimulus package to again bring the industrial segment especially export segment on the track which has been severely hit by the ongoing recessionary pressures... but this budget has left us disappointed," PHD Chamber President Satish Bagrodia told reporters here today.
Stating that the two stimulus packages announced by the Centre earlier had still not shown any positive impact to put the industry on the recovery path, Bagrodia said: "By not announcing any relief in this interim budget, it will be very hard for the industry to remain in the business till the new government announces the regular Budget when it is elected after elections."
