The Institute of Rural Management, Anand, (Irma) held its 23rd annual convocation ceremony here on Tuesday. A total of 89 students, who have completed their two-year post-graduate training in rural management were conferred the diplomas by L C Jain, former member of the Planning Commission.

"All the legible students of this batch have participated in Irma's campus placement programme. All the students have already been placed with Irma's designated organisations," said K Pratap Reddy, director, Irma.

The two toppers of the batch, Gunjan Grover and KVS Chowdhary, have opted to work with a non-government organisation.

Reddy said, "By working with such organisations, you may not get fat salaries, but you will certainly get the love and affection of people."

"I am happy that the toppers have decided to work with such organisations," said Verghese Kurien, chairman of the Irma.
