The Institute of Rural Management, Anand, (Irma) held its 23rd annual convocation ceremony here on Tuesday. A total of 89 students, who have completed their two-year post-graduate training in rural management were conferred the diplomas by L C Jain, former member of the Planning Commission. |
"All the legible students of this batch have participated in Irma's campus placement programme. All the students have already been placed with Irma's designated organisations," said K Pratap Reddy, director, Irma. |

The two toppers of the batch, Gunjan Grover and KVS Chowdhary, have opted to work with a non-government organisation. |

Reddy said, "By working with such organisations, you may not get fat salaries, but you will certainly get the love and affection of people." |

"I am happy that the toppers have decided to work with such organisations," said Verghese Kurien, chairman of the Irma. |
