It's not over yet, special envoy to visit Switzerland

An envoy of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will travel to Switzerland to brief the officials there on the Indo-US nuclear deal.

The proposal came up during talks between Singh and visiting Swiss President Micheline Calmy-Rey during which the prime minister sought support of the key Nuclear Suppliers' Group (NSG) member. Calmy-Rey sought details of the agreement, which can be implemented only after the NSG approves it.

"I requested the prime minister to have an Indian expert to explain the Indo-US nuclear deal," Calmy-Rey told reporters here when asked about Switzerland's position on the agreement.

The prime minister said "someone" would travel to Switzerland to brief her government, she said.
