JDU National President Sharad Yadav told said that any question of a post-poll alliance would be decided later by the local unit of the party.
On the future of the coalition following the BJP's stand of refusing to ally with JDU, he said the issue will be discussed at the national executive meeting.
"The polls have provided an opportunity to the people to give a resounding verdict against money, mafia power and anti-farmer policies of the two governments in Karnataka after the last assembly election," he said.
The JDU whether it is in the government or in opposition after the polls, will press for the enacting of a legislation to confiscate the "ill-gotten wealth of corrupt politicians, bureaucrats, police officials and mafia elements", he said.
The JDU also demanded that the Election Commission take immediate steps to stop malpractices to ensure free and fair elections.
