Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada on Sunday entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with CR Rao Advanced Institute for Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science (AIMSCS) for collaboration between faculty and students of the two institutions.
The subjects include computational genomics, cryptography and bioinformatics. JNTU-K vice chancellor Allam Apparao said the five-year MoU would help the young university get international attention.
The AIMSCS was set up in 2007 with a Rs 15 crore grant from the Centre on a five-acre area on the campus of University of Hyderabad.
The foundation stone laying of a national museum of statistics ‘Sankhya’ being planned alongside will be done by former President APJ Abdul Kalam on March 30.
