Twelve passengers were injured, two of them seriously, when the Jodhpur-Howrah Express derailed near Juhi yard in the district today, disrupting train traffic on the route.The engine and two coaches of the train jumped the tracks near the industrial city at 1225 hrs, railway sources said.The derailment occurred due to some technical problem in the track, District Magistrate Anurag Srivastav said.The seriously injured passengers have been identified as Mohd Anif of Kanpur and Noor Mohammad of Hajaribagh district in Jharkhand, he said.The assistant driver was trapped inside the derailed engine and has been rescued, Srivastav said adding the driver was injured in the mishap.Several trains on the route have been hit by the derailment.
