Besides, the President, representatives of oil and petroleum sector would be attending the two-day conference on conservation, being organised by the Ahmedabad-based Saket Projects Ltd. |

"The technical deliberations will run into six sessions viz, road map for developing synergy in energy sector, corporate strategies in energy intensive sectors, moving markets in energy efficiency, advancing alternative energy resources - the role of renewables, vital role of hydrocarbons in Indian energy scenario; energy efficiency on the shop floor-experience and evaluation and end use energy efficient technologies and will be addressed by eminent technical experts. As the country aims at a higher GDP growth rate, energy consumption is set to rise further and the conference will address various issues related to the sector," said Jay Narayan Vyas, chairman of Saket Projects, an Ahmedabad-based infrastructure company. |

While Kalam will be deliberating on energy scenario in India and also give his inputs on global energy scenario, Hasmukh Shah, chairman of Gujarat Gas Ltd, a subsidiary of British Gas, will give his perspective on Energy Efficiency on the Shop Floor-Experience & Evaluation. |

K R Adhia, general manager (technical), Nirma, will also be speaking on the same issue, apart from other experts taking part in the session. On Saturday, Suresh Mathur, managing director of Petronet LNG Ltd (PLL), Nitin Shukla, chief executive officer of Shell Hazira Gas, and others will discuss issues related to 'Role of Hydrocarbons in Indian Energy Scenario.' |
