"Assocham is confident that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government will improve Delhi's index on the ease of doing business and attract new investment as the capital city will have better infrastructure," Chamber President Rana Kapoor said.
Kapoor recalled Kejriwal's experiment of trusting traders had earlier helped the government realise better tax revenue. "He can set up new examples of cooperation between the government and business," the Assocham president said.
PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Alok B Shriram appealed to the new chief minister not to insist on bringing down tariffs of utilities - electricity, water and the like - below their cost for those who do not fall in the category of vulnerable section, since such measures may be unproductive in the long run.
