The meeting, to be addressed by the state industry minister P K Kunahlikutty, is expected to be attended by Mukesh Ambani (Reliance Industries), S P Hinduja (Hinduja Group), S Ramadorai (TCS), Rajan Mittal (Bharati Televentures), Ajay Piramal (Nicholas Piramal), Captain Krishnan Nair (Leela group of hotels), Rajiv Candrasekhar (BPL), Desh Deshpande (Sycamore), Prem Jain (Cisco), Kanwal Rekhi (Ensim) and others.

These industrialists are already in Kochi in connection with the Amritavarsham-50 celebrations being held to commemorate the Golden Jubilee birthday celebrations of Mata Amritanandamayi.

In an attempt to attract investments, the meet would strive to drive home the point that Kerala has all the ingredients of becoming a big IT destination, an investor-friendly industrial policy, highly literate population and skilled manpower as well as enabling infrastructure comprising three submarine cables connecting Kochi and the world as well as cheap bandwidth.

The chief secretary and other senior bureaucrats as well as the US-based NetScaler CEO B V Jagadeesh, the adviser to the state government on Kochi's IT architecture, would also take part in the event.
