The 25th session of the Kerala Science Congress (KSC) will have 'Science Education and Research’ as its focal theme. The event is being organised at Technopark at Thiruvananthapuram during January 29-February 1, next year.
A national science exhibition will also be organised simultaneously at Kanakakunnu Palace, Thiruvananthapuram, from January 28 to Feb 5. There will be six memorial lectures in honour of science and technology visionaries like Dr PK Iyengar, Dr GN Ramachandran, Dr EK Janakiyammal, Prof PT Bhaskara Panicker, Dr PK Gopalakrishnan and Dr PR Pisharoty.
The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, the umbrella organisation of the research establishments in the state, organises the annual congress to revitalise R&D and identify new talents. Registration will begin from September 1, according to a release here on Tuesday.
