The Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (Kuda) has drawn up major expansion plans in Warangal and Hanamkonda. |
According to Kuda chairman Srinivas Reddy, it would develop a Rs 100-crore complex at Balasamudram in Hanamkonda in public-private participation. The complex, proposed over 10.5-acre of land, will house government offices, besides multiplexes, shopping malls, a four-star hotel, convention halls and IT towers. |

As part of the plans to develop Warangal, the 161-acre Azam Jahi Mills land would be developed for residential and commercial purposes. With the help of the Andhra Pradesh government, Kuda secured 131 acres of the mills land from the National Textile Corporation at a cost of Rs 31.5 crore. |

The remaining 30 acres, which was allocated to the Textile Apparel Park at a cost of Rs 9 crore, would also be taken into its fold shortly. Kuda officials told Business Standard that the project would be planned only after acquiring the entire land. |

Yet another ambitious plan of Kuda is to develop of a residential apartment complex at a cost of Rs 8 crore near Ambedkar Bhavan in Hanamkonda. |

A total of 70 units comprising five-storeyed buildings would be developed in an extent of 6,000 square yards, the plinth area of which would be around one lakh sq ft. |
