The Maharashtra cabinet on Wednesday gave its approval to the agreement between the Reserve Bank of India, Central and state government for effecting a one-time settlement of dues and interest owed to National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) by Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB), which among other things, provides for a waiver of 60 per cent of the dues totalling Rs 292.67 crore.
