The Haryana government has asked the consultant, appointed for carrying out the feasibility study for the Manesar-Bawal investment zone, to focus on road connectivity and availability of water.

Manesar-Bawal is one of the investment zones of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project.

The consultants have been asked to focus on road connectivity, which is essential for the success of the proposed industrial units in the zone. Moreover, sufficient availability of water or its sourcing is another issue that they need to keep in mind, official sources said.

The consultants appointed by the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC) recently held a meeting with the Haryana government for the presentation of the inception report.

DMICDC, which is the implementing agency for the DMIC project, had appointed a consortium led by Jurong Consultants with KPMG Advisory Services, DTZ International Property Advisors, NIIT-GIS (ESRI India) as the project consultant.

The consortium will provide consultancy services for the preparation of the development plan for the Manesar Bawal investment zone within the Haryana sub region of DMIC and for the early bird projects identified by the Haryana government.

The other four investment regions proposed under the project are Dadri-Noida- Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, Khushkhera-Bhiwandi-Neemrana in Rajasthan, Ahmedabad-Dholera in Gujarat and Igatpuri-Nashik-Sinnar in Maharashtra.
