Manipal K-12 opens second school in Hyd

Manipal K-12 Education Private Limited, a joint venture between TutorVista and Manipal Education and Medical Group, on Thursday launched its second school in Hyderabad .

Umashankar Vishvanath, president, Manipal K-12 Education, said, "The investment for each school will vary from city to city depending on the size and student intake."

The three-acre Vista school located at Gachibowli would come up in a phased manner, starting from kindergarten to Class IV in Phase I and till high school in the next phase.

"The K-12 school mainly provides low-cost quality education targeting the middle class," Vishvanath said. The fee structure for the course is Rs 20,000 for students from kindergarten to grade one, Rs 25,000 from class one to class four and till class X, it is Rs 65,000 per year. The school offers CBSE curriculum.

Since its inception in 2008, Manipal K-12 has set up 20 schools in eight states. It would open schools in Bhopal, Indore, Raipur, Ernakulam and in Palakad in the coming months. It is planning to open 100 schools in India in the next five years, he added.
