The manufacturing sector in India will see more job creation on the back of the Make in India push, said Moorthy K Uppaluri, MD & CEO of human resources firm Randstad India.
He said with more number of projects taking off, the engineering space would gain more momentum.
According to Uppaluri. the perception about the manufacturing sector is undergoing a change since it has taken up employee-friendly policies and has also been sensitive towards woman employees.

He said that over and above salary, work-life balance was also fast becoming one of the major factors to determine which company to join.
Survey results also showed similar results. The Randstad Award survey, one of the world's largest public opinion survey on employer branding said that salary and employee benefits (48 per cent) continue to be the top driver among the Indian workforce while choosing an employer, followed by long-term job security (46 per cent), financial health of the company (43 per cent), pleasant working atmosphere (40 per cent) and good work-life balance (38 per cent).
However, the importance of salary has decreased from last year (6 per cent decrease from 2015). The survey findings also reflected that the Indian workforce prefers to work or move to sectors like IT & Communication (70 per cent), followed by Automobiles (66 per cent) and FMCG, retail & e-commerce (64 per cent).
With respect to the top companies, Google India emerged as the winner of the Randstad Award 2016 for the second consecutive year and was awarded the 'Most Attractive Employer' in India, followed by Mercedes-Benz India as the runner-up. The sectoral specific special recognition awards this year are going to Dell India for IT, Samsung India for Consumer Electronics and Amazon India for E-Commerce.
Also, it said that the younger workforce in India, aged 18 to 24 years is more oriented towards good training, global career opportunities, innovation and interesting job content. Workforce between 25 to 44 years - often the age when parental responsibility becomes high priority - more often look for companies that offer a good work-life balance.
With respect to future areas of growth for the human resources firm, Uppaluri added that that Randstad has entered the next phase of growth with launch of Randstad Technologies in India earlier this year. Randstad Technologies will operate as a separate brand under the staffing business, within Randstad India.
