Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today dedicated to the public the expansion of the Delhi Metro network from Yamuna Bank to Sector 32, Noida.
The Noida Development Authority (NDA) had paid about Rs 557 crore — more than two-third amount of the total projected cost — to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for completion of the project.
On the occasion, Mayawati said the project had been completed in time due to the concerted efforts of NDA and DMRC. Noida would develop into an ultra-modern city due to the metro rail connectivity, she added. She stated that several decisions had been taken to make Noida a leading city of the world by providing ultra-modern facilities.
“The government has been providing Rs 2,000 crore every year for developing infrastructure facilities and all-round development of Noida,” she said.
