The National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today urged the 13the Finance Commission to provide a special financial package to Jammu and Kashmir to fully fund expenditures for implementation of the 6th pay commission recommendations for state government employees and pensioners.
In a memorandum to Chairman of the Commission V L Kelkar, NMC President Subash Shastri pleaded for liberal funding to J&K so that all benefits of the 6th pay commission could be given to the state government employees and pensioners and payment of arrears on account of pay revision are provided.
He said a lump-sum amount of Rs 8,000 crore be provide exclusively for the purpose.
The NMC leader also demanded special financial grants for meeting expenditure on account of regularization of the services of all daily wagers, consolidated, adhoc, contractual employees of the state government and casual labours.
