"We have a common space that we should fill with different projects in the energy sector, railways and regional trade," Medvedev said at a press conference.
"Only these actions will help us create normal conditions for people living here and solve very painful and difficult problems, which have been accumulating for decades in the region," the Russian leader added.
He also asked the international financial institutions to join such projects."I believe that the World Bank may show interest in such projects," he said.
Medvedev recalled the role being played by international community within the G-8 and the G-20 to provide funding to help countries which sought to strengthen their own economies.

"I believe that this funding provided by the international community (I mean billions of dollars) should be used for trans-border, international and energetic projects," the Russian leader stressed.
