The Union government is extending the anti-retroviral treatment to one lakh people infected with the HIV/AIDS.
 
As part of the programme an HIV management conference is scheduled to be held in Mysore on January 7- 8, 2005.
 
The conference will include sessions by some national and international faculty. It will also have a quiz and poster presentation on HIV/AIDS and discussions with public health perspective.
 
The conference titled 'Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) "" The Comprehensive Care Engine' will be organised by the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement in association with CHART "" India (University of South Florida "" India Centres for Health, HIV/AIDS Research & Training). India now has the dubious distinction of having the second largest population of those infected with HIV/AIDS.
