The Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA), India's premiere Communications Management Institute will be organising the TEDxMICA International conference 2011 on 26th of February. This time the event seeks to explore the theme 'Communication unplugged' delving into the nuances of engaging with the powerful force of ideas.
It is for the first time that any management school in India has taken up the organising of this event. Among the speakers set to grace the event this year include Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Aamir Khan, Rajiv Desai, Shaheen Mistri, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Amitava Bhattacharya, Lady Shruti Rana, Narayanan Krishnan, Kranthi Kiran Vistakula, Mahesh Murthy, Raju Narayanan Swami and Rajeev Karwal as per the tentative list provided by the institute. Through video conferencing and live speakers spark discussion among small group about ideas. TED is a non-profit organisation devoted to the cause of 'Ideas Worth Spreading'. Started as a four-day conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. The annual TED Conference invites the world's leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes, which is then made available through their website.
