Microsoft To Run Adp At Jntu

Microsoft Corporation India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, under which the former will roll out its Academic Developer Program (ADP) to the engineering colleges affiliated to the university.

The program provides technology training, resources, development support for faculty as well as students to leverage the emerging technologies.

Microsoft will provide the university with its official curriculum including workbooks, manuals and interactive digital content.

Microsoft would also make available to the university, the relevant software under a special licensing option.

Both the partners will work on application development and research with a special focus on the development of local language software.

Finally, the company will also help JNTU to create a collaborative e-learning portal to serve as a reference intranet for the student community across all colleges.

About 184 engineering colleges will benefit from the alliance.
