The on-line system would work similar to the one installed in Gujarat and Odisha. "After reviewing the presentation given, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh gave approval to implement the programme of computerising the administrative works related to mining," a state government spokesperson said. He said that execution of the computerisation scheme would expedite the official works of Mining Department and would result in increasing the revenue.
A private company, which had developed the software and had implemented it in Odisha state briefed the chief minister about the proposed plan of computerising official works in Chhattisgarh.

The state government had been earning nearly Rs 3200 crore as revenue from the precious minerals. After commercial tax, State Government receives maximum revenue from mineral resources.
Under the plan, the mining check-posts would also be computerised. Besides receiving applications for allotment of mines, the on-line system would give the status report and maintain the important data that of production, transportation, development, permit etc.
