Minister on defaulter list

A company owned by Haryana Excise and Taxation Minister Vinod Kumar Sharma was among 473 companies that figured in the Reserve Bank of India's list of "big bank defaulters" in Punjab and Chandigarh, a banking association said on Monday.

Releasing the list of defaulters, Punjab Bank employees Federation General Secretary N K Gaur demanded that the existing law for recovery of loans by banks from the borrowers needed to be strengthened.
