The Rs 60-crore Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) will shortly be corporatised in a focussed way so that the its locked-in potential under its communications division if leveraged to the full extent.

Sources in STPI said the communications division would be spun off through a joint venture after which the department of electronics stake in STPI would be less or equal to around 50 per cent. "The consultants have ccome up with two or three options and the report will be taken up for consideration by the ministry of information technology within a month," he added.
