D K Sakhia, chairman of the Rajkot Marketing Yard, said the yard was getting the commodity in abundance. The yard is finding it difficult to arrange storing space for the stock flowing in everyday. The yard is receiving 80,000 bags of groundnut a day and to clear off the stock, the yard is conducting auctions twice everyday. Sakhia said before the new arrivals in the yard, the price of groundnut was Rs 325 to Rs 400 per 20 kg. As the crop started arriving, the price has dropped to Rs 250 to Rs 325 per 20 kg.
