Making another attempt to promote e-governance, the Madhya Pradesh government has launched "Samadhan online" project. The previous government had launched online-public redressal projects, which remained restricted to the corridors of the state secretariat. |
The previous Digvijay Singh government had launched a couple of e-governance projects, particularly on land records, by roping in information technology giants like Microsoft. Later, the government announced that Reliance Industries would set up 7,000 information kiosks across the state. But none of the projects could be implemented. |

Further, former-chief minister Uma Bharti also launched a website named "Samadhan", to allow people to address their problems to the chief minister. However, owing to the website being in Hindi, hardly anyone could key their problems and ultimately the website had to be closed down. |

Though successor Babulal Gaur tried to make treasuries online, they also became redundant with the advent of banks and later their privatisation. |

Going a step ahead Shivraj Singh has decided to carry on with the projects initiated by his predecessors by launching the "Samadhan Online" " a video conference facility equipped with computer updates of problems. Interestingly, the chief minister has claimed to solve an issue of delayed salary payment at an instance. |
