| The university will be for the wards and children of Non-Resident Indians. "The idea is to attune them to Indian culture," said the spokesperson. "The university will have courses for the service sector instead of technical courses." |

| The state government has assured the Sharjah Chambers of Commerce and Industry that land worth Rs 25 crore will be acquired for the university. |

| "It will take hardly a year to take shape, we will acquire land for them at a place of their choice," said Ivy Miller Chahal, principal secretary (rural industries), who was part of the delegation. |
