| The top three sectors in terms of job creation are retail (2,63,000 new jobs), construction (2,44,000 jobs) and manufacturing sector (2,04,000 jobs). This is followed by the financial services sector (89,000 jobs) and IT and IT-enabled services sectors that are likely to account for 77,000 new jobs. |
| The number of new jobs identified by the report that are likely to be created by 2015 do not include the manufacturing sector in the hinterlands and transportation/logistics. |
| New jobs are also expected to be created in the hotels/tourism sector (46,000 jobs), media/ entertainment/ telecom sectors (33,000 jobs), healthcare services (15,000 jobs) and the transportation/logistics sectors (4,000 jobs), according to the report. |
