Nabard sanctions Rs 302.87 crore for Odisha

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned Rs 302.87 crore for rural infrastructure and warehousing in Odisha. While Rs 280.92 crore were sanctioned for rural infrastructure, an amount of Rs 21.95 crore was sanctioned for warehousing.

The amount was sanctioned under the agency's Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF). The present sanction includes 31 flood protection/ irrigation system improvement projects involving an assistance of Rs 229.50 crore and 5,124 minor irrigation projects (5,000 bore wells, 79 river lifts, 45 tube wells involving an assistance of Rs 51.42 crore).
