The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned more than Rs 133 crore for Tamil Nadu for various projects.
The bank has earmarked a sum of Rs 111.15 crore for Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF).
It has sanctioned Rs 15.35 crore for the power sector with an outlay of Rs 16.15 crore for providing system improvement in power supply for the Dharmapuri district.

For the irrigation projects, the bank has sanctioned Rs 44.65 crore for the implementation of the medium and minor projects in nine districts.
The project outlay will be around Rs 52.94 crore to increase the assured gross irrigated area of 3185 hectares of land throughout Tamil Nadu.
NABARD has so far sanctioned a sum of Rs 1988.78 crore under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund, with the lastest sancton amount of Rs.111.51 crore.
