Getting information of their arrival, the activists of different central trade union had gathered in strength at the Bhubaneswar airport today to demonstrate against the government bid to privatize the PSU.

But with the Enam officials and bankers cancelling their visit to the city, the trade union activists had to return after a prolonged spell of slogan shouting at the airport.

When asked, the Nalco officials here could not say, what date the visit of the consultants from Enam and bankers has been rescheduled to. They, however, pointed out that necessary security arrangements have been made keeping in view the proposed dharna by the trade union activists here tomorrow.

The agitation of various Nalco employees unions affiliated to different central trade unions against the privatisation of the company is gathering momentum for last few months.
