The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University (Nalsar) is planning to open two centres — one in Munich (Germany) and the other in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) to offer a postgraduate diploma in aviation law air transportation management (PGDALATM).

“We are currently in discussions with our partners in those countries and expect to start the diploma courses sometime next year,” V Balakista Reddy, head (air and space law), Nalsar, said.

He was speaking on the sidelines of Nalsar’s convocation ceremony held recently. More than 100 students graduated in the programme.

Reddy said the university was in the process of signing a memorandum of understanding with the GMR Group, which will facilitate the PGDALATM students to undertake project work and internship at the GMR-run international airports in Hyderabad and New Delhi.

“The programme will include a two-month on-the-job training at leading airports in India and the UAE, where the PGDALATM programme is offered in association with the Sharjah government and the department of civil aviation,” Reddy added.
