Nanavaty elected CII western region chief

Anup Industries managing director Gaurav Nanavaty has been elected as the chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (western region) for 2004-05.

Crompton Greaves managing director Sudhir Trehan has been elected as the deputy chairman. Nanavaty has been in the CII's national and regional councils for several years. He was also the chairman of CII Gujarat state council, CII said.

He had led the CII small industry sub-committee in the western region, a CII release said. Trehan was the chairman of CII Maharashtra state council during 2003-04.
