Nandan Agro sets up JV in Switzerland

The State of Vaud in Switzerland has signed an MoU with Spearhead which will enable the latter to produce medicinal herbal products and carry out research and development. The MoU bestows financial incentives and other benefits on Spearhead Natural.

Nandan Agro has a strong base in the cultivation of medicinal plants, especially safed musli, in over 5,000 acres in India.

It is also going up the value chain, from cultivation to manufacturing, by setting up processing units for safed musli and aloe vera.

It has signed an MoU with the AP government for establishing similar units at the Nandan Horti-processing Park at Zaheerabad near here.

The release further said the company had built backward integration capabilities and is engaged in cultivation across 20 states apart from forward integration through the tie-up with Spearhead SARL.
