Nandigram, nuke deal to dominate ParliamentBS Reporter / New Delhi November 14, 2007The issue of Nandigram, the Indo-US nuclear deal and the rise in prices of essential commodities are expected to dominate the winter session of Parliament that commences tomorrow. Till a week ago, the Indo-US deal was supposed to be the only burning issue to be discussed in the house. After the events in Nandigram exploded over the course of the week, the Left Front, which was in an attacking mood, looks to be on the back foot. Some sort of give-and-take on floor co-ordination on the nuclear deal and Nandigram appears to be on the anvil. BJP, on its part, has got a second wind in the session. Opposition leader L K Advani had declared that if a discussion on the nuclear deal was not possible under a voting rule, they would agree to a discussion without asking for a division. This had blunted opposition fire a little, but the party indicated yesterday that they would be targeting the Left and the UPA government on the events in Nandigram.BJP and other critics of Left parties are also expected to cash in on West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi
