The US stocks declined yesterday on inflation worries which in turn could lead toFed hiking interest rates. The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 63 points to 11,406. The Nasdaq plunged 38 points to 2168.Indian ADRs ended mostly with significant losses. HDFC Bank slumped almost 5.5% to $56.45. Infosys declined over 3% to $44.47. Satyam and ICICI Bank were down over 2% each to $38 and $26.96, respectively. While Dr.Reddy's slipped 1.7% to $31.20, VSNL shed 1% to $18.25. MTNL, however, bucked the trend and finished with a gain of 3% at $6.87.
