NC leads in three Lok Sabha seats, Congress in two in J-K

Ruling National Conference (NC) and Congress coalition are leading in five parliamentary constituencies, while Independent candidate Hassan Khan is leading in Ladakh Lok Sabha seats.     

At the conclusion of the second round of counting here, NC chief Farooq Abdullah is leading his nearest rival Moulvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari of PDP by 4,332 votes from Srinagar Lok Sabha seat.     

Sharif-ud-din Sharik of NC was leading over his nearest rival Dilawar Mir of PDP by 2,319 votes from Baramulla seat and Mehboob Beig of NC was leading by 1,582 from Anantnag seat over his nearest rival Peer Mohammad Hussain, also of PDP.     

Madan Lal Sharma and Choudhary Lal Singh of Congress were leading over their nearest rivals Leela Karan Sharma and Nirmal Singh, both belonging to BJP, by 20,123 and 7,960 votes from Jammu and Udhampur Lok Sabha seats respectively.     

Hassan Khan, an independent, was leading over his nearest rival Asgar Ali Karbalia, also an independent, by 778 votes in Ladakh Lok Sabha seat.
