Nepalese Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that his country enjoys problem free relations with neighbouring China and attaches high importance to Beijing's assistance for its economic development.
Inaugurating the ultra-modern Conservation and Research Centre built with the Chinese assistance in Khumaltar in Lalitpur district, 10 km east of Kathmamndu, Prime Minister Nepal said that the centre will remain as a "symbol of friendly relations between the two countries".
"Nepal enjoys problem free relations with China," he said.
China has built a building and facilities for National Nature Conservation Trust at the cost of 350 million Nepalese rupees in Khumaltar. The centre spreading over 3,716 square meter area houses an auditorium, a training hall and other facilities required for nature conservation.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Qui Guhuang handed over the key of the building to Minister for Forest Deepak Bohara amidst a function yesterday.
Meanwhile, Nepal and China have agreed to enhance cooperation in preventing and combating transnational crime during the visit of Home Minister Bhim Rawal to China, said a statement issued by Nepalese mission in Beijing.
