The high-powered committee on the development reform facility, which met today, failed to finalise the modalities for disbursal of the Rs 2,500 crore fund announced in the Budget this year.
The committee, chaired by Planning Commission deputy chairman KC Pant, however, cleared the Rs 800 crore package for Bihar and the Rs 200 package for Orissa. Other members of the committee include Union finance minister Jaswant Singh and the chief ministers of Bihar and Orissa. Briefing reporters after the meeting, Pant said,
