Former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chaggan Bhujbal on Tuesday met Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar in New Delhi and claimed that "everything has been resolved".

"It (being upset) is a closed chapter now. Everything has been resolved and things are fine now. We will face the elections unitedly," Bhujbal said in the presence of Maharashtra NCP chief and Home Minister RR Patil after a marathon meeting with Pawar.

Notwithstanding his statements, sources say Bhujbal's parleys with the Congress are still on, even as he is seeking a dignified exit from the NCP.

Bhujbal's gambit appears to wait a while to see whether he is able to re-position himself in the NCP hierarchy failing which he may exercise his options with the Congress.

The meeting between Pawar and Bhujbal centred around the refurbishment of the latter's position in the NCP hierarchy, including the allotment of party tickets to his supporters in the forthcoming Assembly polls.

Bhujbal had kept away from a party meeting in Mumbai on Sunday, where Pawar dared dissidents to leave the party. Two other sulking leaders ""Madhukar Pitchad and Lakshman Dhobale"" also attended yesterday's meeting at the residence of Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel.

Bhujbal, who had said in Jalgaon yesterday that he would not leave the party, yesterday said whatever problems he had with the party have been resolved.

"I am putting a full stop to all this," he said adding he would meet Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and other party leaders as NCP leader.

Bhujbal has been sulking since he was asked to quit the government in the wake of his family's involvement in the Telgi stamp paper scam.
