Congress today said there was no "magic wand" with the government which could simply wish away swine flu and asserted that the Centre was doing everything possible to meet the scare.
"In our country, the cases are much less as compared to the western countries. Government is doing everything it can...There is no magic wand with it." party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told reporters here.
Asked whether Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad was attending to the problem with due seriousness as he was also burdened with party work as AICC General Secretary, Singhvi said it will be "wrong" to take the name of any individual.
"India is far better positioned to counter the disease. Our preparedness is comprehensive. We are combating it at every level," Singhvi said.
