Former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura, an accused in the second generation (2G) spectrum allocation scam, on Tuesday pleaded before the Joint Parliamentary Committee that he had no role in the case and argued all decisions by former telecom minister A Raja were taken before he was appointed at the post. Behura also said soon after becoming the telecom secretary, he had met senior officials in the Prime Minister’s Office and the cabinet secretary, but he was not given any indications that there were certain issues is 2G spectrum allocation that needed to be revisited by the ministry.
