Oil prices strengthened in Asian trade today after a larger than expected fall in US stocks of heating oil and other distillates, dealers said.New York's main contract, light sweet crude for December delivery, was up 9 cents to $59.92 a barrel from $59.83 in late US trade yesterday.Brent north sea crude for December delivery added 31 cents to go upto $59.90.Oil prices climb to near $60-mark a barrel World oil prices jumped after US reserves of heating fuel fell by more than expected ahead of the winter peak for demand.New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in December, added 90 cents to close at $59.83 a barrel.In London, Brent North Sea crude for December delivery gained $1.11 to settle at $59.59 a barrel.The US Department of Energy (DoE) said that levels of distillate products, such as heating oil and diesel, sank 2.7 million barrels to 138.6 million in the week to November 3. That was far bigger than the expected fall of 800,000 barrels.
