Reddy, who held a review meeting on the status of NIMZs on Friday, said a proposal to set up another NIMZ in Prakasam district may also be sent to the Centre.
According to an official release, the chief minister wanted setting up of four land acquisition units and appointment of a senior IAS officer to oversee the project and ensure all the works were taken up in a phased manner.

Officials were stated to have informed the chief minister that land acquisition in respect of Medak and Chittoor would be completed soon as substantial part of the land meant for the project was in the possession of government.
By March 2014, the detailed project report would be ready for final approval from the Centre. IL&FS has been selected to prepare the techno economic feasibility report-cum-development plan, which will be ready for submission.
The press release stated that a special purpose vehicle will be created to take up the project, which will be initially owned by the government and subsequently transformed into public-private partnership mode. A private developer will be identified by inviting global tenders.
