U.S. light crude oil for April delivery, which touched an all-time closing high of $56.72 a barrel on Friday, eased 10 cents to close at $56.62 a barrel on the Nymex. In the metal category, the COMEX gold slumped $8.30 to settle at $431.40 an ounce.
